In the beginning of September, Feldman Ecopark opened the season for skiers – the Kharkiv Oblast Championship for athletes with general and special physical training took place for them here. More than a hundred athletes took part in these competitions. Among them were the young members of the Feldman Ecopark Ski Club, which functions in the Regional Landscape Park for two years. The skiers competed in the roller ski races and cross-country.
All of the participants were awarded with special certificates from the Ski Sports Federation of Kharkiv Oblast, and the winners were awarded with medals and special prizes from Feldman Ecopark.
“The strongest teams from the whole region arrived in Feldman Ecopark: from Kharkiv State Academy of Physical Culture, Kharkiv Regional Higher School of Physical Culture and Sport, Children’s Sport School No. 3, Children’s Sport Schools TEMP in Kharkiv and Vysokyi, Volchanskyi and Chuhuiv Children’s Sport Schools,” the head of the Feldman Ecopark Ski Club Svitlana Iliinskykh told. “But our children – nearly 30 of them took part in the championship – demonstrated good results as well. They got 7 silver and bronze medals in different age groups.”
It should be reminded that the Ski Club was opened in Feldman Ecopark in autumn 2016. It is one of the most popular sport directions within the 1,000 Teams Tournament project. The lessons are free of charge and nearly 70 children aged 6-14 attend them.
