The Social and Humanitarian Multi-Complex Feldman Ecopark and the AVEC Gallery will again join the international event “The Night of Museums,” which will take place on May 19 this year. Both locations have prepared an interesting and rich cultural and entertaining programme for Kharkiv residents and the guests of the city, which will last from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m.
The AVEC Gallery will present a charitable campaign “The Art of Mercy:” 85 works by famous Ukrainian artists from the collection of the International Charitable Foundation “Oleksandr Feldman Foundation” will become the proposed lots. The means obtained from the sale will be spent on ecological and humanitarian projects of the Global Public Foundation for Species Rehabilitation and Reintroduction, the Centre for Psychosocial Rehabilitation, Centre for Wild, Exotic and Domestic Animals Rescue “Feldman Ecopark Good Home,” and the Centre for Cheiroptera Rehabilitation.
“We want to break the stereotypes and to show people that everyone can do charity regardless of the level of personal wealth. The main thing is to unite and do good together. “Art rescues” is not just some beautiful phrase. It is an algorithm confirmed by the previous auctions organized by us. With their help, we’ve managed to find means for the projects, which really rescue human lives. This campaign is another step, and it is needed not only to rescue people, but to rescue animals as well,” Oleksandr Feldman, the initiator of the campaign said. “By purchasing the picture from the collection, everyone can choose a project, he/she wants to support: the programmes aimed at the rehabilitation of children with serious diseases; the rescue of animals from the Red List; the assistance to animals in trouble and the introduction of humane methods of work with stray cats and dogs, and so on.”
Within the Art of Mercy campaign, the art yard, which is decorated on the occasion of the Night of Museums with animal protection installations, will have an animal fair “Rescuing an Animal You Find a Friend,” the competition of young artists, the concerts and animals protection performance. The event starts at 8.30 p.m.
Meanwhile, in the Small Hall of the AVEC Gallery, the opening of the exhibition “Metamorphoses” will take place. It will include amazing photo pictures by Nikolina Bakumenko creative studio.
Traditionally for the Night of Museums, Feldman Ecopark’s buses will run every 30 minutes from the AVEC Gallery from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. Ecopark has prepared the special evening entertainments for adults and children. The heroes of Hollywood blockbusters, fairy-tale unicorn, LED balloons, red carpet and living Oscar – the organizers promise to create a really starry atmosphere and guarantee that no one will be bored. The old fantastic movie shows, retro video games, light show, transformers’ dance and many other surprises will be waiting for the visitors to the Social and Humanitarian Multi-Complex. And, of course, everyone will be able to have an excursion along the Ecopark on the period of activity of its nocturnal residents. Feldman Ecopark will be open till 10 p.m. on May 19.
