Jewish youth will plant trees in Feldman Ecopark

This Sunday, April 22, the youth department of Sochnut-Ukraine Office (Jewish Agency for Israel) will hold in Feldman Ecopark a MeetUp Ha’Atzma’ut picnic devoted to the 70th anniversary of Israel Independence. Young Jewish activists will plant trees and bushes in the territory of the Social and Humanitarian Multi-Complex and organize environmental debate club.

“Within the framework of the project, the traditional sharing, exchange of knowledge and skills concerning the ecological awareness and environment improvement will take place,” the organizers of MeetUp Ha’Atzma’ut picnic told. “Our goal is to demonstrate that everyone is able to make own everyday contribution to the improvement of the places we live in. There is no need to wait for some appeals, to have some exceptional abilities. There are a million of useful things, thanks to which we can make our lives more comfortable, pleasant and healthier. And if we start doing something now seeing the positive results of own efforts, tomorrow, we will have a motivation to do even more.”

It should be reminded that this Sunday, the visitors to Feldman Ecopark will be able to attend several events. Here, the special thematic campaigns are prepared to celebrate the International Earth Day, and to celebrate the 106 anniversary of Ukrainian Plast in the real scout atmosphere.

It should be also reminded that within the programme “People’s Ecopark,” the Social and Humanitarian Multi-Complex will open a Peace Path soon. The first oak acorns for it were blessed by the Pope. It will have trees planted in honour of spiritual leaders of the modern times and famous residents of Kharkiv, as well as on behalf of those who want to join the campaign – the residents of Kharkiv and other regions, NGOs and work collectives, commercial structure and state agencies.
