At couple of 5-year-old polecats of Nafanya and Alya -the actors of the Theatre of Children and Animals Feldman Ecopark six kids were born.
“The young father Nafanya continues to work actively, pleasing on days off of guests of the Ecopark with comic performances, and the mother Alya temporarily left a theatrical stage and entirely devoted herself to motherhood, – the director of the Theatre of Children and Animals Feldman Ecopark Elena Garazhina told. – We try not to disturb Alya on trifles. But, as she got used to communication with children, sometimes young naturalists come to our young mother — to visit, encourage the favorite, to communicate, to feed”.
After the delivery Alya’s diet didn’t change strikingly, the veterinarians only increased amounts of portions, now the newfound mother needs to eat for seven.
“Together with mother’s milk kids have to receive useful substances, necessary for the growing organism. We, as a rule, bring to a polecat meat, cottage cheese, porridges, and also mixed fruit and vegetables”, – the veterinarian Feldman Ecopark Anna Zhukovskaya tells.
Young mother will bring up kids within two weeks then young polecats will learn to eat independently. The mincemeat will become first course of young predators.
As told in the Theatre of Children and Animals, two of six cubs will continue an actor’s dynasty – they will take part in new performances. Other kids will be transferred to the sector of predators Feldman Ecopark.
Note that today in the Regional Landscape Park live 20 polecats. The zoocollection Feldman Ecopark totals more than 2 000 animals.
