The volunteers of the Feldman Ecopark Centre for Psychosocial Rehabilitation together with the children attending the lessons cover with drawings and decorated with appliqued ornament the symbolical house for four legged friends established in the AVEC Gallery. The art and therapeutic performance took place in support of the charitable campaign “The Art of Mercy” launched in May 2018 at the initiative of the International Charitable Foundation “Oleksandr Feldman Foundation.”
“There are many talented young people with kind heart and creative thinking among our volunteers. The idea of decoration of big stylized doghouse — to draw green trees, a blue sky, portraits and traces of animals belongs to them. Then together with the children attending our Centre to create a volume design: to cover the drawing with paper leaves, wadded clouds, and, the most important, multi-colored children’s palms with wishes. Each child delineated the palm and fingers on a cardboard, cut out the drawing with scissors and fixed to the roof of the house tentatively having written a personal message on it — the head of the medical service of the Centre for Psychosocial Rehabilitation Inna Vashkite told. – The idea of a performance is simple and clear to children: each person or an animal needs the house to live in warmth, love and care, and it is possible to do-it-yourself, sharing kindness and helping each other”.
The favourite of the Feldman Ecopark Centre for Psychosocial Rehabilitation, a golden retriever Polly became the assistant to children during the art performance. She inspired young architects while working on a house and was the first to cross the threshold, having become the honorable new settler.
“Children learned to work in team, hearing the views of others and made concessions where it is necessary towards a common goal. At the same time during creative interaction they communicated with our dog Polly who created the correct emotional atmosphere that multiplied art and canine-components of positive psychotherapeutic effect” — Inna Vashkite explained.
It should be reminded that the Feldman Ecopark Centre for Psychosocial Rehabilitation is one of four beneficiary projects the charitable campaign “The Art of Mercy”. During the first stage of the campaign, the sum of ₴3,050,000 was raised.
