Centre for Psychosocial Rehabilitation of Feldman Ecopark Invites to Participate in Animal-Assisted Therapy Projects

The Centre for Psychosocial Rehabilitation of Feldman Ecopark invites children and teenagers with special needs, wishing to take part in animal-assisted therapy projects.

It includes such projects, as “Equine-Assisted Therapy” (psychosocial rehabilitation of children with musculoskeletal disorders); “Therapeutic riding” (for children with psycho-speech disorders, developmental mental delay, psycho-emotional disorders) and the projects aimed at increasing the level of social adaptation and improvement of quality of life.

“Communication with animals is an important element of psychological rehabilitation and social adaptation of children with various problems, in particular, psycho-emotional spectrum disorders. Therefore, we invite those who require, to join our projects.” — the head of psychological service of the Feldman Ecopark Centre for Psychosocial Rehabilitation Tetiana Aliieva noted.

To participate in projects of the Centre for Psychosocial Rehabilitation of Feldman Ecopark, it is necessary to call us by ph. 066-143-37-25 to agree about consultation (the Centre’s office of psychological correction, 70 Sumska St., on Mondays from 14:00) and to get referral for one of projects. Animal-assisted therapy lessons will take place in the territory of the Social and Humanitarian Multi-Complex of Feldman Ecopark during the warm period of year.

It should be noted that the Feldman Ecopark Centre for Psychosocial Rehabilitation works in the Social and Humanitarian Multi-Complex Feldman Ecopark since 2013, rendering assistance to children with special needs and adults, including the families of IDPs and ATO veterans. During the years of its activity, the Centre rehabilitated nearly 7,000 persons, including more than 2,000 children.
