Super mom, king of lunches and greeting tiger: in Ecopark was told about super predators

This weekend, on July 29 and 30, the International Tiger Day was celebrated in Feldman Ecopark. Five guests of world honor live in the Regional Landscape Park. Each of them has its own unique character.

The Amur tigress Delilah is a timid mother which almost annually bring forth. That is highly important for maintenance of Amur tiger populations, because they are on the verge of extinction. Only cubs get Delilah’s warmth above and beyond. People shouldn’t rely on indulgence of prolific mother: in its territory the big cat is glad to see only the family. By the way, the male part of a spouse — a 200-kilogram temperamental cat Banzai is a real food-lover: beef meat is it’s invariably favorite among all frills of the menu.

Frunia is the most talkative member of the Amur tigers. The tigress got such a name for great love and sympathy towards keepers. It recognizes each of them from huge crowd and will greet by solemn snorting. In the language of tigers this is a warm greeting which only the best friends are worthy.

Abbat and Alba, the brother and the sister of the Bengalese tigers don’t deny themselves in games. The handmade invention of young naturalists –the fabric candies filled by straw is the best option to occupy two restless predators for a few hours.

“Each tiger has its own curious story known by people working with them for months. Only this special day the rare facts became also known to our guests: the most interesting facts about the Ecopark’s predators were told by our guides and information stands — Andrii Roshchupkin, the director Feldman Ecopark noted. — Moreover, the guests had a unique opportunity to congratulate tigers on “professional” day with unusual meat cake which the employees solemnly delivered to a striped family to the loud applause”.

Besides, during the holiday the guests were suggested to visit the art platform and to represent any pleasant predator on a canvas, to make origami pocket tiger and to test their knowledge during “whiskered-striped” quiz.

For the weekend the actors of the Theatre of Children and Animals presented a premiere — “We are responsible, forever, for what we have tamed”. A performance based on the story fairy tale by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry “The Little Prince” will please the audience every weekend, at noon.
