Children from the Club of Young Naturalists of the Feldman Ecopark are among the leaders of the largest competitions of the country: Vlada Bondarenko took the 2nd place on the national competition of young inventors and innovators in ecological and naturalistic field, and Liza Pokhodenko took the 3rd place of the Young Researcher, the national competition of children’s research papers in the field of natural history.
Vlada Bondarenko took one of the top places thanks to the research work about influence of musical genres on children’s memory. Young scientists found out which music clogs thoughts when doing homework, and which, on the contrary, stimulates brain activity. The results of the researches showed that sounds of nature influence the mentation the most favourably. At the same time, rap preferred by many throws the work into disorder.
Liza Pokhodenko decided to study the fauna topic in depth. Young naturalist actively searched for the possibilities to diversify the life of predators in the Feldman Ecopark. And the results of the research were taken as a basis for the competition work. Together with the other members of the Club she made various eco-toys. In order to interest coatis, they created rattles in form of containers filled with dried fruit. As for tigers, wolves and bears, they got big fabric candies stuffed with straw.
“All the works by the young naturalists of the Feldman Ecopark are preceded by many months of the search of creative solutions, the study of dozens of books and the conduct of numerous researches. At a shrewd guess, I’d say these children put their heart and soul into this work. That is why, every victory for them is a long-awaited recognition and an incentive to move forward. I congratulate them and I am proud of the chidlren! Thank you for your persistence and reliability. You make everyone to believe that Ukraine is in the strong hands of the strong younger generation,” Andrii Roshchupkin, the director of the Feldman Ecopark noted.
It should be reminded that this year, the young naturalists of the Theatre of Children and Animals also showed success during the Intel Eco-Ukraine 2016, the national competition of scientific and technical projects, the national competition of young zoologists and breeders, and the Ukrainian Souvenir, the national competition exhibition. As for the horse riders of the Feldman Ecopark, they also have gained new victories during the national jumping competitions of the Bavaria Motors 2016 Cup.
