A new dweller with amazing fate appeared in the Feldman Ecopark. An injured great bittern was brought to the rehabilitation in the All-Ukrainian Service for Wild, Exotic and Domestic Animals Rescue “Feldman Ecopark Good Home” by the volunteers of the “Ark of Mercy” charitable organization. The latter got the bird from common citizens, which found it with wing and limb injuries in Kharkiv near Osnova lake.
“Earlier, the bird has undergone the treatment in one of private clinics of the city. Ecopark has accepted it in stronger condition. Here, it takes anti-inflammatory medicines in order to remove pain syndrome from injuries, as well as vitamin mineral complex in order to improve metabolism and to recover as soon as possible. However, the bird needs rest and proper care for final recovery, and we are glad to provide this,” the Feldman Ecopark’s vet Anna Zhukovska told.
The vets also hope that the bittern will get better soon and will be able to leave enclosure. “As soon as the bird’s wing and limb recover completely, it will be settled down in one of the lakes of the Feldman Ecopark,” they note.
