The heads of the Feldman Ecopark Centre of psychosocial rehabilitation Tetiana Aliieva and Inna Vashkite carried out the open master class for Ukrainian psychologists. The program included such nonstandard types of psychological correction as eco-therapy, animal-therapy and hippotherapy. The training was given within the framework of refresher courses of the department of psychotherapy of the Kharkiv Medical Academy of Post-graduate Education.
“During the seminars, we demonstrate the new methods, which we use in our work with both the participants in military operations and the children with special needs. The experience obtained by psychologists during the master classes is unique, because the complex psychosocial rehabilitation based on animal-therapy is implemented exclusively in our Centre,” noted the Candidate of Medical Science, psychotherapist and the Head of the Centre of psychosocial rehabilitation Inna Vashkite.
The participants of the seminar were able to learn at first hand the results of the positive effect of animal-therapy. They could stroke and feed animals, and try the methods of hippotherapy riding the horses of the Complex.
It should be noted that in addition to the assistance rendered to children and teenagers, the Feldman Ecopark Centre of psychosocial rehabilitation specializes in the rehabilitation of the ATO soldiers. During the recent two months, the specialists of the Centre carried out the complex of psychocorrectional lessons for over 120 participants in military operations.
