In new academic year several million school schoolchildren in Ukraine will sit down at school desks, and 400 thousand pupils will take their place on a school bench to touch the exciting world of knowledge for the first time.
School classes will begin under the sign of reform of the training program which, first of all, will concern elementary grades. Of course, Ukraine needs reforms and not the least it concerns an education system. But, as well as in any other sphere, education reform requires the weighed and consecutive actions from the Government directed to increase knowledge among children, development of their mental and creative abilities, and also responsibility and readiness for adult independent life in healthy civilized society.
The destiny of every child depends on his capability to think of the future, to determine life priorities and to work hard to achieve the goal. Therefore, it would be desirable that future graduates of 2017 and the next years, cared for the tomorrow already today, made all efforts to gain necessary knowledge. Certainly, the role of school, teachers in this process shall be leading and determining. And the state have to make everything that the new generation had an opportunity completely to implement itself in the homeland, increasing welfare and lifting the international prestige of the state.
These are challenging times for Ukraine; this circumstance forces us to care for the future of our country which belongs to present school children even more.
