“Don’t rush and enjoy the moment!” – under this slogan passed the weekend in the Regional Landscape Park where after new, but already popular Italian tradition “Snail-marathon” and other thematic activities devoted to the Day of Slowness took place fascinatingly, but without the hustle and bustle.
The Snail-marathon or the “Slow Marathon” became the event of the day. Every “marathoner” had to cover certain distance, (along the main path from the Ecopark entrance to the main location) without stopping and as slowly as possible. The one who came the last became the first. Having won a prize, the winner celebrated success with friends near the samovar with charge-free tea.
“No matter we didn’t have many guests because of the frost this day, but we perfectly spent this sunny day, enjoying every moment. Everyone sometimes needs to get away from everyday life, to feel that every moment in our life is wonderful in its own way. It seems the best way to do that in such sunny day outdoors”, – the organizers of the festivities say.
Besides, the festive programme for children and adults “Don’t hurry this day and enjoy the moment!” was devoted to the Day of Slowness. Fans of graceful movements together with our animation team learned a relax-dance to the beloved for decades Blue Сanary melody.
The Day of Slowness already celebrated worldwide on February 26 was first celebrated in Italy in 2007. The Italian association the “Art of Easy Living” gave the slogan “Don’t rush and enjoy the moment” to our holiday and became the initiator of the festivities.
