Since August of last year in the Regional Landscape works the Feldman Ecopark Kennel Club where children obtain basic knowledge in correct dog treatment, acquire primary skills in training of canine companions.
As the head of the Feldman Ecopark’s Kennel Club Roman Martyinyuk told, now the Club contains 12 dogs of various breeds – German shepherds, Labradors, malamutes, dachshunds. Several dozens of children with their parents attend the Club’s activities.
“We try not only to give our visitors the ground rules and skills of communication with dogs, but also to develop at children love to fauna, respect for dumb animals. Interactive activities turn out very fascinating not only for children, but also attract a keen interest of the adults accompanying them. The parents gratefully take part in the studies. Now, in winter time, dog sledding harnessed by malamutes enjoys special popularity. With the coming of spring we plan to diversify our activities to which we invite everyone”, – Roman Martyinyuk says.
The activities for young canine handlers take place on Saturdays and Sundays, but, according to the head of the Club the persons interested have an opportunity to practise in other days.
