For the seventh time, the International Charitable Foundation “Oleksandr Feldman Foundation” is going to take part in the global event “Night of Museums.” A rich cultural and entertaining programme and a lot of surprises are prepared for Kharkiv residents and the guests of the city on May 20, from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. The special event of the evening is the open air concerts and musical parade of retro cars. The main entertainments will take place in AVEC Gallery and in Feldman Ecopark. The transportation between these two art-locations will be carried out on the company’s buses every half an hour from 4 p.m. to 10.30 p.m.
AVEC Gallery (70, Sumska Str.) will present three unique exhibitions to suit any taste at once. “The History on the Blade” is an exclusive opportunity to look at the genuine melee weapon, which belonged to famous historical figures. Swords of Eastern European princes and rapiers of French aristocrats and generals, sabres of Indian padishahs and Maharajahs – the total of 15 items from the collection of Oleksandr Feldman. It should be noted that the similar exhibition is presented in Ukraine for the first time. It will be opened officially at 7 p.m. At the same time, AVEC Gallery will present two visual projects: “Jerusalem. The Youth of the Eternal City” will demonstrate the works by young Israeli photographers, and “Yuliia Segal. 6 years later” will demonstrate the work by a famous Israeli sculptor who was born in Kharkiv.
In addition to the visual arts, everyone who wants to take part in the Night of Museums event will be able to enjoy a musical festival. At 3.30 p.m., the column of rare cars will set off for a musical motor rally round the museums and galleries of Kharkiv. An open air concert of classic music performed by the chamber orchestra “String Chapel” led by Arkadii Korniev will start on the roof of the business and trading centre “Platinum plaza” (72, Sumska Str.) a 5 p.m.
DJ-aeronaut in the huge balloon will meet the visitors of Feldman Ecopark and will raise the spirits during the whole evening. Starting at 7 p.m., the light show of sand animation will take place, and at 9 p.m., the grandiose fire show will start here. But the main exclusive twist is the evening excursions along the Regional Landscape Park. Twilight is the best time to watch the nocturnal animals and predators, which enter their active phase, and to have a romantic walk along the paths of trees, flowerbeds and numerous art objects adorned with many-colored lights.
The next morning, Feldman Ecopark will open the doors for the visitors at 10 a.m. to please them with Sunday entertainments for the whole family: games and dances, performances of artists and the parade of animals, entertainments on the Enjoyable Path and Eco-Arena, the melody of saxophone and the photographer’s studio.
