Weekend of caramel treats and show premieres in Feldman Ecopark

Last weekend, February 18-19, Feldman Ecopark celebrated unusual and very close for all sweet tooths holiday – Lollipop Rooster Day.

A great entertaining programme was devoted to the dessert, which appeared perhaps 5 centuries ago. On the main path of Ecopark, the visitors were met by a metre-tall rooster made from all sorts of caramel. The guests were able to take a piece of sweet figure with them: the rooster generously gave sweets to those who spared no forces and energy taking part in competitions and quizzes.

A special interest of guests was aroused by the master class in creating caramel candies: both adults and children sat on one ‘school’ bench learning the sweet science. Lollipops made by the special recipe were given to every participant of the holiday.

In addition to sweet entertainments, this weekend surprised the visitors with the new premiere of the Theatre of Children and Animals called “Candlemas.” On the stage, the gloomy Winter and her little assistants Snowmen finally concede a right to the Spring to melt ice shackles and to reveal buds on the trees together with the first flowers.

“Candlemas is our cheerful performance, the main task of which was to give good, sunny, and warm mood as in spring to the audience,” the head of the Theatre Olena Harazhyna noted.

The next weekend, the Theatre of Children and Animals will show another premiere “Masliana is ready – our dear guest.”
