The 1st stage of the Feldman Ecopark Mountain Bike Open Championship was held on Sunday, June 18, under the patronage of the International Charitable Foundation “Oleksandr Feldman Foundation” and with the organizational participation of VeloKharkiv.
More than fifty cyclists competed for the title of the best one on Sport track (“yellow”). The distance consisted of five 3,200m circles with the 40m ascend on the circle. Everyone with the necessary gear was able to take part in the competition. The winners were awarded with prizes – helmets and certificates from the Extreme Style Company allowing to purchase sports gear.
“We are glad that this project and this wonderful track appeared here, where the athletes are able to try their strength and to demonstrate their skills in full and where there spirit of sound rivalry and sports excitement reigns. On behalf of Oleksandr Feldman I congratulate all of the participants of the competition and want to wish them success on this track and in the future,” the Feldman Ecopark project lead Dmytro Bespalov said at the opening ceremony.
The cross-country bicycle track “Crazy Bikes” located in the picturesque place near the lake appeared in Feldman Ecopark in the beginning of this year. The cycle track includes an 8,400m route with 500m, 1,000m, 3,200m, and 5,000m circuits, counter slopes, 12 shors with the length of more than 150m, three wooden sections, small pump sections and 20-centimeter drops. Both the skilled athletes and the beginners are able to use the track. The ecology project Feldman Crazy Bikes was arranged within the 1,000 Teams Tournament programme of the International Charitable Foundation “Oleksandr Feldman Foundation.”
