Young athletes brought the first winter prizes to the Feldman Ecopark Ski Club after taking part at Kharkiv ski race championship “Season Opening.”
The head of the Feldman Ecopark Ski Club Svitlana Ilinskykh said that the competitions were held in skiing center “Temp” on December 27.
“Six members of our club (born in 2004-2005) took part in the classic style race of the junior group at a distance of 1 km. These awards are the first ones this winter. In autumn, the athletes of the Ski Club were also the prize-winners at race competitions,” Svitlana Ilinskykh told.
The skiers of Feldman Ecopark are preparing to try their strength at freestyle competitions on December 29.
It should be reminded that Feldman Ecopark Ski Club was opened this October. It is a new sport within the 1,000 Teams Tournament project. The lessons of this club are already attended by more than 60 children. It is expected that the number of club members will reach several hundred in the future.
1,000 Teams Tournament is a long-term sports and social project of the International Charitable Foundation “Oleksandr Feldman Foundation.” Its implementation includes the development of different kinds of sport and recreational activities in Feldman Ecopark. The programme includes training and competitions in futsal, ping-pong, volleyball, streetball, skiing, cycle race, cross-country run, orienteering, different kinds of gymnastics, chess, and other directions.
