The Social and Humanitarian Multi-Complex Feldman Ecopark in association with the UN Refugee Agency and under the assistance of the charitable foundations “Station Kharkiv” and “Right to Protection” will host a children’s holiday on Sunday, June 17. During the festivities, children of the IDPs will be able to take part in the lottery and painting competitions, and to watch a fascinating horse show and clowns’ performances.
The holiday starts with the entertaining programme for children at 11 a.m. The children’s painting competition starts at 11.30, and the unique horse show starts at 1 p.m. After that, the organizers of the festivities will invite everyone to enjoy a tasty porridge cooked on fire, and to have a tour along the Feldman Ecopark Horse Complex.
The results of the children’s painting competition summing up and the prize awarding ceremony will start at 3 p.m. The same time, the organizers will give presents to those who have winning lottery-tickets.
“We are preparing our programme for children, but the adults are also welcome here, as we are sure that it will be also interesting for them to attend a holiday. The refugee problem remains one of the most urgent in the global community. Unfortunately, for Ukraine and Kharkiv oblast, it has also became very topical recently, and we want to attract public attention to this problem,” the organizers of the holiday tell.
It will be possible to come to Feldman Ecopark by the special buses running from the metro stations “Derzhprop” and “Heroiv Truda.”
The World Refugee Day initiated by the UN in 2000 is marked on June 20. The relevant resolution was adopted on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the establishment of the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees.
