Ashley and John, a couple of Bennett’s tree-kangaroos living in Feldman Ecopark, gave birth to a kid 4 months ago. Immediately after birth it was accommodated in the quarantine unit together with mother under medical observation. Now, the little one grows stronger and started to show its muzzle out of mother’s pouch. It currently lives with its parents in the special enclosure for kangaroos. Everyone is able to watch the happy family in Feldman Ecopark.
“The kid is healthy, it already shows interest in the surrounding world. When it is warm it lookі out from mother’s pouch. The kid will stay there for nearly a month more,” Feldman Ecopark’s deputy director of zootechnics Valeriia Ivashchenko told. “We haven’t selected the name for the little kangaroo yet, so all the visitors and followers of Feldman Ecopark may help us in this issue. The author of the best name will be obligatorily awarded with the prize – a photo shoot with one of our exotic animals.”
It should be noted that the collection of animals in Feldman Ecopark includes three species of the kangaroo family: the western grey kangaroo, the red kangaroo and the Bennett’s tree-kangaroo. There are already 4 animals of the latter in the ecopark.
