From now on, the friends of Feldman Ecopark, the participants of its new programme of people’s funding are able to plant a signature tree and take a favourite animal under patronage.
The Path of Peace will soon appear in the Regional Landscape Park within the framework of the programme “People’s Ecopark.” The first acorns for it were blessed by the Pope Francis. It will be created in the name of peace in Ukraine and all over the world. The planting of the part of trees was commissioned by the global religious figures, and some of the trees are under the care of spiritual leaders of the present time. Among them are Patriarch Theophilos III of Jerusalem, President of the International Council of Christians and Jews Deborah Wiseman, secretary general of the European Council of Religious Leaders Stein Willumstad, international and interchurch relations director of the Orthodox Church in America Leonid Kishkovsky, Chairman of the Global Sikh Council Dr. Satpal Singh, rector of the Tashkent Islamic University Rafik Mukhametshin, imam of the European Council of Religious Leaders Shaykh Ibrahim Mogra, and CEO of Jordanian Centre of Inter-confessional Coexistence Nabil Hadad.
The worthy place will be given to the trees planted to commemorate the great people of the past, including the ones who are inseparably connected with Kharkiv – Dmytro Bahaley, Oleksii Beketov, Leonid Bykov, Petro Hulak-Artemovsky, Liudmyla Hurchenko, Vasyl Karazin, Ivan Kozhedub, Lev Landau, Liubov Mala, Illia Mechnikov, Oleksandr Potebnia, Illia Repin, Borys Chichibabin, Natalia Fateeva and many others.
Everyone is invited to take part in the creation of the Path of Peace – Kharkiv city and oblast residents, NGOs and work collectives, national and cultural unions and territorial communities, commercial structures and governmental institutions.
“Each tree of the Path of Peace will be titled according to the name of a person, who planted it or in honour of which it was planted. The plates with this information will be placed near the signature trees and on the online map of the People’s Ecopark. Meanwhile, the acorns grow greenhouses,” Andrii Roshchupkin, the director of Feldman Ecopark told.
Moreover, everyone who wished to take a four-legged, feathered or amphibious friend under own patronage, will now have this opportunity. Almost any of more than 2,000 animals of the Regional Landscape Park may be supported, and it is possible to become an individual or collective patron.
“We are often addressed by common people and large companies with the proposal to help with food, materials or money. Of course, we are glad to obtain any friendly assistance. That is why we offer everyone, who is not shy to do good openly and who is ready to do this on a regular basis, to take under own patronage one or several animals from our collection. The information about this generous action will be indicated on the signs of enclosures and on the website of Feldman Ecopark,” Andrii Roshchupkin

People with special needs and everyone who needs assistance will get a priority access to charitable projects of Feldman Ecopark. The persons, who take part in this programme, will be united in the single social network and will obtain a free access to educational programmes, online excursions, lectures, films, books, and scientific researches.
It should be also reminded that the Pope Francis has blessed the oak acorns for the Path of Peace on October 18, during the audience given by the pontiff for the delegation headed by Ukrainian MP, the member of the board of the international organization “Religions for Peace” Oleksandr Feldman.
