The final of the mini-football tournament of the Barabashovo Trading Centre within the programme of the “1,000 Teams Tournament” took place in the Sport Complex “Karazinsky” on February 27. It was the match between “Forpost” and “Feldman Ecopark” teams. With 7:3 score, “Feldman Ecopark” team won the cup.
The 3rd place match was between “Craft” and “Meteor” teams. The winner was defined only after the penalty shootouts: “Craft” got victory with 11:10 score.
The third place got a UAH 5,000 certificate, the second place – UAH 7,000, and the winners got UAH 10,000 certificate and the Feldman Cup. All certificates were used for charity.
The Barabashovo Trading Centre Tournament was held for the third time. 27 teams took part in it this season.
The chief referee of the Tournament Yurii Volozhenko noted that the professional level of the participants becomes higher every year. “I am a referee in this tournament for the third time, and I see the progress. This concerns not only the teams and the players, but also the organization of the event,” he emphasized.
“We have the experience of organization of the Europe’s largest children’s mini-football competitions. Hundreds of thousands of boys and girls of Kharkiv region took part in it,” tells the curator of the “1,000 Teams Tournament” programme, Andrii Stronov. “We use this experience to expand age-related and geographic limits of the competitions. We are planning to make the Barabashovo Trading Centre Tournament into the city-wide one, and later, perhaps, onto the regional and national one.”
It should be noted that the Barabashovo Trading Centre Tournament to win the Feldman Cup is the part of the “1,000 Teams Tournament” programme. The ICF “Okeksandr Feldman’s Foundation” launched it in 2001. The Barabashovo Trading Centre, the AVEC Concern and Co., and the Regional landscape park “Feldman Ecopark” are the organizers of the event.
