The artists from 34 countries – the participants of the 1st International Open Exhibition of Watercolour Painting – joined the campaign “The Art of Mercy” launched by the International charitable Foundation “Oleksandr Feldman Foundation.” They have given four works to the organizers of the campaign in order to make their contribution to support the projects of the Social and Humanitarian Multi-Complex Feldman Ecopark.
“We absolutely support the ideas of humanism, charity and the necessity to involve art in the solution of important social and humanitarian, as well as environmental tasks being the foundation for the campaign “The Art of Mercy.” That is why we would like to give several paintings represented at our exhibition to the organizer of the campaign – the International charitable Foundation “Oleksandr Feldman Foundation.” We believe that the means gained from their sale will be really useful for those people and animals, who need it,” the statement signed by the participants of the 1st International Open Exhibition of Watercolour Painting “Our Wonderful World” states.
Moreover, the artists had a creative plein air painting “Watercolour Ecopark” in the Social and Humanitarian Multi-Complex, and created a 7-meter-long work. They gave it to Oleksandr Feldman Foundation as well. This work of international art will become another new lot of the project “The Art of Mercy.”
According to the organizers of the campaign “The Art of Mercy,” everyone is able to join it. “We are grateful to the artists for their attention to our project and ideas. Their work will definitely save more than one life,” the founder of the International Charitable Foundation, Ukrainian MP Oleksandr Feldman notes. “We want to break stereotypes and to tell people that everyone can become a charity-giver regardless of the level of personal welfare. Someone can make a repost on social networks, the others will spread the information in mass media. The main thing is to unite and to do good together. “The Art Saves” is not just some beautiful words, but an algorithm proven by our previous auctions.”
It should be reminded that the 1st International Open Exhibition of Watercolour Painting “Our Wonderful World” took place in the AVEC Gallery on July 15-22. Kharkiv residents and guests were able to look at more than 150 works by watercolour artists from 34 countries.
It should be also reminded that the charitable campaign “The Art of Mercy,” which was launched this May, has recently summed up the results of the first stage: the sum of ₴3,050,000 was raised. These means, depending on the wishes of the participants of the campaign are distributed among the development projects of the World Open Foundation for Animal Rehabilitation and Reintroduction, the Centre for Wild, Exotic and Domestic Animals Rescue “Feldman Ecopark Good Home” or the Centre for Cheiroptera Rehabilitation.
