“Joy of life” in AVEC Gallery

The Joy of Life exhibition will open in the AVEC Gallery on April 12 at 18:00. The paintings of young talented artist Valentina Samoylik will be represented there. The exposition includes about 50 bright expressional works united by common high spirit. According to art critics, Valentina’s canvases are filled with surprising forms sending us in the far innocent and pure childhood when everything seems other, than now.

“I take the creativity inspiration from children’s memories of my native land and from everyday life in which I try to see only bright side. My early years passed in magic Yalta and in marvelous Nikitskii botanical garden. Therefore my works are full of southern sun, suntanned women, exotic plants and tropical fruit — the artist Valentina Samoylik tells about herself and the works. — I take up the brush only when I’m overwhelmed with positive emotions and I wish to share it with people. Sometimes, explaining to friends my attitude toward art I draw the analogy to love. It can suddenly flash or gradually come, remain for the rest of life or evaporate as the morning dew. But if the feeling is sincere, it is always splendid and gives joy”.

Valentina Samoylik was born in 1981 in Yalta. In 2007 she graduated from the Kharkiv State Academy of Design and Fine Arts, “Monumental painting” department. Since 2012 Valentina became member of the National Artists’ Union of Ukraine. 10 personal exhibitions are on author’s creative account. It’s the first time Valentina exhibits her works at the AVEC Gallery.

“There are artists turning the sun into a yellow spot. But there are also those who, using their art and mind turn a yellow spot into the sun” — Pablo Picasso wrote.
You can check out the correctness of these words for yourself having attended Valentina Samoylik’s exhibition “Joy of life” in the AVEC Gallery (Sumska St., 70). It will work to the middle of May, daily from 10:00 till 22:00 without breaks and days off.
