Kharkiv is going to join the Long Night of Museums event on May 21. The subject proposed this year by the International Council Of Museums (ICOM) is “Museums and Cultural Landscapes.” The AVEC Gallery and the Feldman Ecopark invites to develop the topic, to extend the habitual borders, and to spend the Night of Museums with animals.
It will be possible to see the portraits of four-footed, feathered and chiropterous animals of the Regional Landscape Park at the Eco-palette photo exhibition in the AVEC Gallery (70, Sumska Str.) It will be opened at 5 p.m.. Everyone will be able to supplement it with the help of a camera and frame, “opening the border between the ordinariness and the magic.” The master class by Lesia Vakulenko “Colouring Book for Your Pleasure” (at 6-9 p.m.) and the lecture by Vira Yarova, the Ph.D. in Art history “Animals in the Works by Vsevolod Averin, Kharkiv Animal Painter” (at 7-9 p.m.) will also take place there.
Everyone will be able to visit the characters described by the Eco-palette exhibition with the help of company’s buses, which will run from the AVEC Gallery to the Feldman Ecopark until 10 p.m. once in an hour and a half (depending on the number of people). The evening excursions, performances by the artists of the Theatre of Children and Animals, the show in the Horse Complex, the fire show and the other surprises will give everyone unforgettable impressions, expand the ideas of museums and cultural landscapes.
