The Ukrainian MP Oleksandr Feldman offers to oblige the former owner of an apartment house to take part in the organization and the financing of the first major repairs of the house after it becomes condominium.
The relevant draft Law of Ukraine “On amendment of the Law of Ukraine “On condominium” (Concerning the obligation of the former owner of an apartment house to take part in the organization and the financing of the first major repairs of the house after it becomes condominium)” was registered today in the Verkhovna Rada.
The MP explained that the relevant regulation has existed in the legislation earlier. However, in May 2015 it was excluded from the condominium law. According to his words, the absence of this regulation impedes the creation of many condominiums, as the residents understand that they will not be able to make major repairs independently under the present crisis conditions. “I am sure that the former owner’s participation in the major repairs – whether it is a city or an enterprise – shall significantly facilitate the financial load of house residents creating condominium,” Mr. Feldman considers.
