The swan rescued in Bogodukhiv by the local citizen and a raccoon dog redeemed by the woman from Poltava was taken for rehabilitation in Feldman Ecopark. The necessary veterinary assistance is rendered to animals, and now they adapt on the new place.
“The reports were received by our hotline. The swan got stuck in an ice-covered reservoir was found by the local citizen of Bogodukhiv. He rescued a bird, brought home and called us. On Saturday, our experts brought a bird in Feldman Ecopark to veterinarians. A swan’s legs were damaged by ice, but wounds has been already debrided and a bird feels well. This is already the second swan taken for rehabilitation this autumn — told in the Centre for Wild, Exotic and Domestic Animals Rescue “Feldman Ecopark Good Home.” – The animal protection volunteer redeemed a white raccoon dog in the town of Lubny (Poltava oblast), having found out that the animal was being sold online. As a rule, these beautiful creatures are used for training of dogs or kill for the sake of fur. The woman brought the raccoon dog rescued from such unfortunate fate to us on the night of Sunday to Monday. Now both animals are under quarantine, soon they will undergo rehabilitation together with the relatives”.
It should be noted that the number of appeals to the Centre for Wild, Exotic and Domestic Animals Rescue “Feldman Ecopark Good Home” significantly increased in the last month. At this period, the All-Ukrainian hotline 0-800-302-303 receives from 30 to 40 calls a day. It is connected with deterioration in weather conditions, but the main thing — with increase in level of consciousness and activity of the citizens concerned about the fate of our little friends.
