Feldman Ecopark is among ten most visited parks in Europe

Before the International Children’s Day, the volunteers of the Give Joy to a Child international union made a map of objects across Europe, which are the most friendly and comfortable for children.

“First of all, we put the objects to the map, which have the highest index of regular attendance,” the union’s coordinator Lucas Folke says. “We are talking about the objects where children may spend time not only with pleasure, buts also with maximum benefit.”

Feldman Ecopark (Kharkiv, Ukraine) is among 10, the most attended and friendly ‘territories of childhood’ in Europe.

“Feldman Ecopark has one of the highest visitors’ density index in Ukraine’s segment of the objects of children’s and family leasure,” Mr. Folke tells. “It may be explained with the fact that the entrance and all the activities in the Ecopark are free for visitors. In the family of ‘million-plus’ parks (where the number of visitors exceeds a million per year), Feldman Ecopark is the only one, which is completely free.”

“Our map includes objects for children, which, first of all, have educational component. the main trend of development in the modern children’s infrastructural objects is “I learn while I have a rest”,” Mr. Folke noted.

Commenting the Feldman Ecopark’s joining the European top ten, its founder Oleksandr Feldman said: “This is the joint achievement of the big team of people caring about the future of our children. I thank the local authorities of Kharkiv and Kharkiv oblast for the arranged tours to our Ecopark. And my special gratitude is to the authorities from the other regions of Ukraine, who bring children to the Ecopark. It often happens that this is the first meeting of children with Kharkiv region. Children should open the diversity of different regions of our country as early as possible. They should know and love Ukraine’s wonderful nature. The care of children is the thing uniting all responsible and not indifferent people regardless of party membership. I am glad that the European map of children’s friendliness, the object with Kharkiv ‘registration’ appeared. It is a great honour for us and the incentive to develop further.”

Reference. Top ten also includes BonBon-Land (Denmark), Legoland (Germany), Mini-Europe (Belgium), Tropical Islands (Poland), Children’s Town (Latvia), Heureka Centre (Finland).
