Feldman Ecopark rehabilitates swan from ATO zone

The swan, rescued in the territory of Donbas, settled in Feldman Ecopark. The locals found this wounded bird which remained to winter alone near the village Brusovka, the Limanskiy district of the Donetsk oblast. They sought the assistance of the Centre for Wild, Exotic and Domestic Animals Rescue “Feldman Ecopark Good Home”. Rescued swan was brought to the Regional Landscape Park on rehabilitation.

“The adult female, perhaps, has been already caught in the toils,
because the bird’s wing is injured in several places. The fractured bones have already knitted and bone callosities formed but the bird can’t fly yet therefore it didn’t migrate to warm regions together with other birds. Most likely, with the approach of frosts, it would die of cold and hunger —the head of bird section Feldman Ecopark participating in evacuation of a swan Volodymyr Perekhodovych told. — Fortunately, there were sympathetic and responsible people who bent every effort to avoid such an occurrence. They caught a bird and reported to our “Good Home”. Now this beautiful creature is in safety. The veterinary specialists examined a swan, the bird’s condition is satisfactory, but additional attendance and nutrition is necessary. The bird will live in the Swan Lake Feldman Ecopark together with the relatives until it finally recovers. After wintering it can by wish return to native places or stay with us forever”.

It should be reminded that the Swan Lake Feldman Ecopark is one of picturesque reservoirs of Triozerya, located in the territory of the Regional Landscape Park. Since 2016, more than forty waterfowl live there. These are not only swans, but also pelicans, storks and herons, ducks and geese of different species. The majority of these birds found home on the Swan Lake thanks to the Service for Wild, Exotic and Domestic Animals Rescue “Feldman Ecopark Good Home”.

Besides, it should be reminded that since its opening, the Centre for Wild, Exotic and Domestic Animals Rescue “Feldman Ecopark Good Home,” rendered assistance to more than 22,000 animals, including nearly 4,000 of wild and exotic ones. The considerable part of the rescued animals has been returned to the nature. It is possible to obtain a competent advice and, in case of need, to call for the rescuers to help animals by using a free hotline of the Good Home (tel.: 0-800-302-303).
