A rich cultural and entertaining programme will be waiting for the visitors to Feldman Ecopark the next weekend, May 26-28.
Georgian theme will be the main motif of the holiday at the Social and Humanitarian Multi-Complex on May 26: together with the Kharkiv State Academy of Culture, the great festive programme “Metekhi gathers friends!” will be organized. In addition, on this day, as well as during the whole weekend, the exhibition of traditional Slavic folk dolls “Out of the Granny’s Chest,” the locations with board games, “A Coin for Luck,” the dance and game programmes, and blitz-master-classes “Hobby-Magic” will take place.
This Sunday, May 27, will be devoted to the celebration of one of the main Orthodox holidays – Pentecost. The visitors to Ecopark will be able to take interesting selfies in Ukrainian folk costumes on the background of the traditional village landscape, to learn how to create a garland at the master class, to watch a premiere of the show “Forest Song” (based on Lesia Ukrainka’s work) in the Theatre of Children and Animals, to take part in a cheerful entertaining programme with Ukrainian folk songs, to demonstrate the knowledge of folk traditions at a quiz “The History of Ukrainian Garland” and to show own talents at the dance marathon.
“The Enjoyable Path will turn into the real island of folk art and folklore: it will become the location for master classes on clay modeling, herb sachet creation and bracelet plaiting. And the music will sound during the whole day in the pavilion near the Swan Lake. The concert programme “Oh, I’ll weave a garland for all of the holidays” (based on the title of Ukrainian folk song) will be topped with the performance of the original folk band “Serpanok,” as well as the music trio and solo vocalists, who will sing modern Ukrainian hits.
Fascinating activities will be waiting for the visitors to Feldman Ecopark on Monday, May 28: a great holiday “Forest Fair” will take place at the Horse Complex and the Theatre of Children and Animals. The organizers have prepared a large-scale show with horses based on the musical “Sorochyn Fair.” The programme will also include the entertainments from the theatre studio “Vesna” and creative master classes: original genre, natural material crafts, the Theatre of Children and Animals’ performance, and the show from the folk song band.
Moreover, the game programme for kid’s “Children’s Hour,” cheerful “Wet Games,” which not only provide an opportunity to spend time pleasantly, but also to cool down on the hot day, music and dance shows, as well as many other surprises will be waiting for the guests at the main location of Ecopark.
