Feldman Ecopark Invites to Celebrate Intercession of the Theotokos and Defender of Ukraine Day

This long weekend, our country celebrates three important holidays – the Intercession of the Theotokos, the Day of Ukrainian Cossacks and Defender of Ukraine Day. And the team in Feldman Ecopark made everything possible for these festivities to be cheerful, interesting and useful for the visitors.

“The Intercession of the Theotokos has been associated with the Cossacks of Ukraine, with strength and courage for a long time. And during this long festive weekend, October 12-14, our visitors will be able to feel themselves real Cossacks by taking part in traditional folk games, singing and dance competitions. Moreover, everyone will have an opportunity to attend the Chrysanthemum Ball, which has already become known across the country. The visitors will be able to see 45,000 wonderful flowers of various forms and colours, a lot of interesting floral figures and scenic photo zones,” the organizers of the festivities tell.

An educational and entertaining programme for children and parents Cossack Glory Shall Never Fall to Tell about It to All will be waiting for its participants on each of the festive days at 11 a.m., 1 p.m., and 2.30 p.m. Everyone will be able to demonstrate their strength and knack in Cossack games (tug of war, weight lifting, sack fighting), to show own knowledge about the Cossacks at the thematic quizzes, to take part in a funny game Oh, Whose Brave Horse is It and in the Cossack Karaoke. Starting at 2 p.m., everyone who loves dancing will be able to take part in the dance programme I’ll Dance Eagerly!. The Theatre of Children and Animals is going to present its Cheerful Kaleidoscope on Saturday, the Kingdom of Autumn Colours on Sunday and Like in Our Ukraine on Monday. The performances will start at 11.30 a.m. Moreover, a well-known chorus Oberih from the town of Krasnokutsk will present its programme With Kindness to People! in Ecopark on Sunday, October 13.

It should be reminded that the eighth Chrysanthemum Ball has started in Feldman Ecopark last weekend, October 5-6, and will last before cold weather sets in (it is expected that it will last till the beginning of November). The entrance to this largest floral festival, like the entrance to Ecopark, is free of charge.
