Feldman Ecopark Good Home resumes stray animal settlement campaign

This weekend, April 28-29, the Centre for Wild, Exotic and Domestic Animals Rescue “Feldman Ecopark Good Home” is going to resume the traditional for warm season campaign “Saving the Life You Find a Friend” aimed at the settlement of stray animals.

Starting from this weekend and till the beginning of cold season, the tents of Good Home will be placed at two locations – in the territory of Feldman Ecopark and near the underground station “Tsentralnyi Rynok.” The voluntary animal rights activists, who rescue stray animals, as well as the owners, whose pets gave birth to babies, will offer everyone to open their hearts and take a kitten, puppy, guinea pig or other homeless animal to their homes. All of the animals undergo veterinary examination and are vaccinated. As for those animals, which fail to find an owner immediately, they will be photographed for the relevant posts with information about them on social networks.

“The campaign “Saving the Life You Find a Friend” have already proven its effectiveness: last year, nearly 25 kittens and puppies, as well as other domestic animals (rabbits, guinea pigs, snails) found home during the activities carried out in 2017. More and more people take part in this campaign year by year. And we call on everyone who cares to join this animal protection movement and help animals, which are not able to take care of themselves,” Good Home’s chief Iryna Podvoiska emphasized.

The campaigns will take place every Saturday and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. near the Central Market (underground station “Tsentralnyi Rynok”) and from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. in Feldman Ecopark. Depending on the weather conditions, there may be some changes in schedule, so it is possible to obtain more specific information about the work of volunteers’ tents using the free hotline: 0-800-302-303.

In 2017, nearly 800 pets found home during the season of these campaigns. It should be reminded that Feldman Ecopark Good Home was established in 2010. In 2013, it became an all-Ukrainian service that renders assistance not only to pets, but also to wild and exotic animals. In October 2017, Good Home launched the all-Ukrainian information and advice helpline to solve animal issues.
