The Centre for Wild, Exotic and Domestic Animals Rescue “Feldman Ecopark Good Home” carries out rehabilitation of the dog that suffered in traffic accident, which happened in Kharkiv region nearly a month ago. According the Centre’s head Iryna Podvoiska, it was found nearly dead at the road not far from Lozove by caring people and took it to the local veterinary clinic. But there they received an unfavourable verdict – it was necessary to put down the animal because its injuries are too heavy: broken spine and jaw, there were no chances. However, the volunteer animal advocates decided to help and addressed their colleagues from Feldman Ecopark Good Home, while the latter found specialists who literally assembled the dog.
“Tobik, the new name of the poor dog, underwent difficult operations. But thanks to the dog’s young age and zest for life, as well as human care, the dog started to get better. Our volunteers made a special wheelchair for him, as they already have the relevant experience, and the dog recovers gradually. The dog learns to move independently and has already started to get on three legs. At the same time, we, of course, are trying to find a new family for Tobik, for the dog to become a pet there,” Iryna Podvoiska told.
It should be reminded that the Centre for Wild, Exotic and Domestic Animals Rescue “Feldman Ecopark Good Home” has already dealt with rehabilitation of wheelchair dogs – Stephan and Aina. They were also found with heavy injuries near the roads, they underwent treatment and were able to find new families.
It should be also reminded that since the opening of the Centre for Wild, Exotic and Domestic Animals Rescue “Feldman Ecopark Good Home” its workers and volunteers have already found new owners to nearly 22,000 pets and rescued more than 6,000 wild animals.
