The porcupines living in the Regional Landscape Park celebrate a house-warming in the big enclosure which not only satisfy all necessary keeping requirements but also provide the visitors with opportunity to watch these surprising rodents in great detail.
“The new enclosure meets all modern requirements of the European zoos concerning animal welfare, safety and convenience to the visitors wishing to have a closer look at these inhabitants. Here the porcupines have a special feeding place, in other parts of the enclosure they can hide or dig a hole” — Valeriia Ivashchenko, the Feldman Ecopark’s deputy director for zootechnics told.
According to her, five porcupines move into the enclosure now, they will stay there all year round.
It should be reminded that recently in the Feldman Ecopark appeared the special ape enclosure for those primates who didn’t get along with their relatives. Lemurs, squirrel monkeys, marmosets and a tamarin live there in peace and friendship.
