That’s fantastic! Feldman Ecopark invites to celebrate Old New Year

Feldman Ecopark invites everyone to cheerfully celebrate the last holiday of the holiday season together – the Old New Year.

“The celebration of the New Year by the Julian calendar means, first of all, the deep-rooted folk traditions, carols and outdoor festivities. You will find all of these in Ecopark. Moreover, it is the reason to say goodbye to our favourite, so different winter holidays,” the organizers of the activities tell.

The visitors to Ecopark will be met on Sunday, January 14 by the New Year’s heroes of different nations – Father Christmas, the Christmas Tree, Petrushka, the Rooster and the Dog (the symbols of 2017 and 2018 in Chinese calendar). The entertainments will also include a New Year’s game “That’s fantastic!” The participants will be offered to go through several cheerful competitions: “Like I decorate my broom, so my year will bloom!” “Look out of the window to get some peas!” “Happy bite” (fortune-telling with a rooster), “Bow-Wow” (New Year’s karaoke).

Moreover, Vakula’s smithy will be opened in the Regional Landscape Park, where it is possible to mint own “coin of happiness” for the participation in cheerful competitions. The team “The ABC of Nature” in the Theatre of Children and Animals is going to present a premiere of the performance “The Flower with Many Colours.” The thematic master classes are prepared for those, who want to learn to make New Year’s decorations with own hands.

The special entertainments are also prepared for those who are going to visit Ecopark on Saturday, January 13. Father Christmas will offer everyone to play chess. The games and mini-disco for children will take place every hour. And the Theatre of Children and Animals will make a performance “Cheerful Laleidoscope.”

And, as it has already become traditional this winter, all visitors to Ecopark will be treated with hot tea with honey and cracknels, which will warm everyone and add strength and cheerfulness for the entertainments.
