The studio photo shoots became a frequent event of the All-Ukrainian Service for Wild, Exotic and Domestic Animals Rescue “Feldman Ecopark Good Home” helping to find a new home for stray dogs and cats. The head of the Good Home Iryna Podvoiska said that with the help of the photos published by the volunteers on social networks nearly 70 percent of animals find the caring owners during two weeks after the photo shoots.
“It is difficult to carry out open-air campaigns during a cold season. Therefore, we invite volunteers to take the animals to the studio to take photos there. In these photos, we try to use the background and accessories to demonstrate the character of each animal, to set a mood,” Iryna Podvoiska tells. “These photos are published by the volunteers on social networks and the other Internet resources. And they invariably attract attention of those people who want to get themselves a cat or a dog. Moreover, the volunteers communicate with each other and help each other to find a new home for the animals. It happened that people came directly to the studio to take the future pets.”
In spring, Feldman Ecopark Good Home will renew the campaign “Saving the Life You Find a Friend,” which has proved to be effective. The sites where the volunteers will offer everyone to choose a pet will be opened in Feldman Ecopark, on Barabashovo TC, and on the Central Market.
It should be reminded that Feldman Ecopark Good Home was established in 2010. During the period of its existence it helped to find reliable owners for more than 15,000 animals. In 2016, during the campaign “Saving the Life You Find a Friend” (May-October), 600 animals found their homes: the majority of them were settled during the weekly campaigns on the territory of Feldman Ecopark and Barabashovo TC, and 150 puppies and kittens more found home thanks to photo publishing in the Internet and the other media resources.
