The workers of the Feldman Ecopark Centre for rehabilitation of the Chiroptera visited the University of Life Sciences in Poznań. During the 1st Polish and Ukrainian theriology seminar, the biologists told about their achievements in the area of rescue and rehabilitation of various species of Chiroptera.
Within the seminar, the specialists of the Feldman Ecopark CRC, Anton Vlashchenko, Ksenia Kravchenko, Vitalii Hukov and Olena Rodenko presented 4 author’s reports covering the rescue of animals from urban traps, the reception of weak or injured Chiroptera from volunteers. In addition, the workers of the Centre told about the numerous researched of bats’ populations in wildlife.
Closing the seminar, the representatives of Polish side invited the biologists from the Feldman Ecopark to take part in the annual calculation of Chiroptera hibernating in the caves of Ojców National Park.
“We were glad to agree, as this is the wonderful opportunity to exchange experience and to watch the work of our counterparts in this field. The calculation of Chiroptera is very important in our work: every year, we do this in Kharkiv oblast whatching Chiroptera hibernating in galleries,” the head of the Feldman Ecopark Centre for rehabilitation of the Chiroptera Anton Vlashchenko told.
