On the day of Art Picnic’s opening in Feldman Ecopark (August 5), one of its traditional events – ‘photo drying’ exhibition – will start. It is a project aimed at exchange of photos for everyone to be able to take part in.
“We work on the new photo zones, search for the topics for new lectures and offer cooperation to all interested people. During three seasons, we exchanged our images of planet Earth’s life and wrote messages on the reverse side for the future keepers of our photos,” the organizers tell.
In order to become a participant of ‘photo drying,’ it’s enough just to print own photos in any format, to bring them at the appointed time to the location, and to hang them out on the special ropes with the help of clothes-pegs. “The main thing is not to forget to sign own works! Write your contacts, names and wishes! Believe me, the person who takes your photo as a keepsake, will definitely find you to thank,” the curators of this direction of Art Picnic tell.
The ‘photo drying’ exhibition will take place on Art Picnic from 12 noon to 5 p.m. During this time, everyone will be able to attend free master classes and meetings with famous photographers, to talk with photo lovers alike, to vote for the best photo, to make a beautiful photo shoot in the park, and to take part in many other activities proposed by Art Picnic.
At 5 p.m., the ‘photo drying’ will be recapped, the prizes will be given to the winners, and it will be possible to take photos as souvenirs.
It should be reminded that Art Picnic is an annual street cultural and social project aimed at the development and popularization of modern Ukrainian culture and art. For the first time it took place in Kyiv in 2013. It has already been held in Odesa and Rivne. This year it will be hosted by Feldman Ecopark in Kharkiv for the first time. It will have 10 directions (art, movie, music, theatre, literature, sport (mind and body), children, festivals and fairs, good deeds, and meetings with interesting people.)
For the Regional Landscape Park Feldman Ecopark, which exists since 2011, the organization of social, cultural and educational, youth and entertaining, as well as sports and educational events is one of the main directions of activities. Its priorities also include the animal protection, scientific, medical and rehabilitation directions.
