Oleksandr Feldman thanked journalists for the right to be really free

Oleksandr Feldman thanked journalists for the right to be really free. The politician wrote about this in his Facebook page.

“The World Press Freedom Day is marked every year on May 3,” Ukrainian MP noted. “This day, the Declaration of Windhoek was signed. This is the day, when the actions to support freedom of expression are held worldwide, the lists of enemies of free press are made, and the UNESCO/Guillermo Cano World Press Freedom Prize is awarded.”

The politician noted that the importance of mass media can scarcely be overestimated in today’s society. “This day is an annual reminder for all of us that the freedom of expression and press is the fundamental right under the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, and the basis of a civilized democratic society,” Oleksandr Feldman told.

The politician also wished everyone to be sure that the word of each participant of public opinion shaping in our country was not only free, but also true and not used for various incitements and hate propaganda. He also thanked journalists and the press for the right to be really free.
