Ukrainian MP Oleksandr Feldman congratulated the futsal team of V.N. Karazin Kharkiv National University on winning Ukrainian championship among the student teams. In semifinal, Kharkiv team defeated the students from Ivano-Frankivsk (10:3), and in the final round, they proved to be stronger than the team of Sumy State University (6:1).
“Congratulations to my university on another victory! It is very pleasant that our Karazin University educates so diverse talented specialists. While the scientific successes of the University’s students are taken as something traditional, this triumph in sport was a surprise for many people,” Oleksandr Feldman wrote on his Facebook page.
He reminded that in the World University Rankings, V.N. Karazin Kharkiv National University is among the top 500 universities and took the highest rank among Ukrainian higher educational institutions. “I think that it is a perfect combination for Kharkiv’s development strategy – the centre of science, education and sport. After all, sport in the modern world is something more than just a game – it is also an intercultural dialogue, tourism and investments,” the politician emphasized.
“By the way, the same day when the young students of Karazin University won, it was informed that Kharkiv won the right to host a football match between the national teams of Ukraine and the Czech Republic. Way to go! And it will be great if in addition to all of the advantages of our dear Kharkiv, it will also have a title of the sports capital of Ukraine!” Oleksandr Feldman added.
