A new inhabitant – cheetah named Byron – appeared in the Kharkiv Zoo on Sunday. It moved to the new home from the Feldman Ecopark within the program of the ICF “Oleksandr Feldman Foundation” aimed at preservation of rare animal species. The predator will adapt to the new place quickly, Zoo’s workers are sure. The new enclosure was designed especially for this feline species – it is spacious and comfortable. Byron will be able to make a family here and continue ‘dynasty.’ Feldman Ecopark is already searching for the ‘bride.’
“We are negotiating with several zoos. I think, soon, our cheetah will get a ‘girlfriend,’ they will have babies and bring them up here together,” the founder of the Ecopark, the famous patron Oleksandr Feldman told.
He also reminded about long-standing friendship with the Kharkiv Zoo, and expressed confidence in the future fruitful cooperation.
“Everything we make together with the municipal zoo is for Kharkiv and its residents,” Oleksandr Feldman emphasized. “For me and for each resident of our city, this place is dearest from the childhood. It is wonderful that it becomes better every day.”
It should be reminded that the handsome cheetah is not the first animal, which appeared in the Kharkiv Zoo thanks to the ICF “Oleksandr Feldman Foundation.” Earlier, it was Tendy elephant loved by all children, African lions, red deer, Highland cattle, alpaca, kiang, and hamadryas baboons.
