“To tell the truth, I was sure to the bitter end that the statements made by Yevhen Nyshchuk are fake. It was difficult to believe that the minister of culture allowed himself to be so unethical and short-sighted. Nevertheless, everything is possible in Ukraine today. It is symbolic that Nyshchuk voiced the opinion of the authorities about the “inferiority” of the residents of the southeast of the country during the days when we all commemorate those who died for the sake of dignity,” Ukrainian MP Oleksandr Feldman declared on his Facebook page.
“A person owing his political carrier exactly these victims, including a lot of the residents of the southeast, which he hates so much, has no moral right to tell this. The minister who allowed himself to speak of the citizens of Ukraine this way must bear the responsibility,” he emphasized. “Yevhen Nyshchuk, with his “eugenics,” “genetics,” and “brought,” as well as his “ideological friend” Ihor Myroshnychenko with his urges to “drive Russian-speaking people into ghetto”, all these extremists play into the hand of our foes. Because of their own foolishness or maybe consciously, they discredit Ukraine in the international arena, increase the internal split in the country, and create the image of real neo-Nazi threat.”
“I often criticize the current Ukrainian authorities, but that would be an alien idea to me that it consists of stupid people. I think that they will hurry to get rid of the “minister of genetics” casting a shadow on the whole government. Although, the minister Nyshchuk could set an example of European political culture and resign voluntarily,” Oleksandr Feldman noted.
