“I wish the whole our city, oblast, the whole our country to become a single park,” this statement was made by Oleksandr Feldman, Ukrainian MP. He noted that he welcomes the expansion and the reconstruction of parks, zoos, green areas, in particular Kharkiv Zoo, the question of which was discussed today in local city hall (http://kh.depo.ua/ukr/kh/u-harkovi-z-yavlyatsya-amazonskiy-lis-ta-dolina-gepardiv-25052016160600).
“There are a lot of problems in economy of not only cities, but also the regions, the whole country. It is a war in the country, a lot of questions are not solved, for example, asphalt works. However, we have no right to avoid the development of parks,” Oleksandr Feldman, Ukrainian MP declared. “The future of our people and our country is not only in industrial enterprises, but also in various parks: zoos, entertaining parks, children’s and educational ones.”
Mr. Feldman emphasized that it is good that many Ukrainian cities deal with the development of parks now, and that the state creates nature reserves. He expressed hope that the state will involve private business more, to develop public-private partnership. “I am sure that there are a lot of caring people who will be glad to support this. Many countries develop this way. Every city must define its own, individual specificity. The main thing is to create places for people, where they will be able to come and to rest after a working day, to make something for their health and to develop morally,” the politician emphasized.
