The members of Children’s Ecology and Nature Study Academy of Feldman Ecopark participated in the training seminar devoted to the organization of teaching and educational process for children with special needs in out-of-school institutions. It was organized an carried out in Kiev on April 13 by the National Student’s Ecology and Nature Study Centre together with the Children’s Development Centre “Dyvogray” for teaching employees of profile out-of-school institutions from all Ukraine.
“The event was held in the format of author’s studio of practical psychology; the trainings were intensive and were directed to acquisition of applied knowledge in working with special children. We’ve got acquainted with the experience and the specific form of work of institutions for such children, interesting techniques and applied methods of communication, and have learned a lot of new about inclusive forms of educational and correctional process — the head of the Early Childhood Development School “EcoSmarty” Yuliia Naboychenko told. – Now we plan to apply the gained knowledge in the Feldman Ecopark, because here not only the Centre for Psychosocial Rehabilitation assists children with special needs. The specialists practically of all directions of the Children’s Ecology and Nature Study Academy and other divisions of our Social and Humanitarian Complex interact with them all the year round, and in particular during the summer camp season.”
It should be reminded that the Children’s Ecology and Nature Study Academy of Feldman Ecopark is one of Ukraine’s largest non-governmental out-of-school educational institutions. More than 1,000 children of different age study in it. In summer, during the period of operation of the children’s health improving and educational camp in the Feldman Ecopark’s Social and Humanitarian Complex, more than 1,000 children attend the Nature Study Academy. There are more than a dozen of different departments and clubs in it: Horse Complex, Theatre of Children and Animals, Young Naturalists-Biologists Club, EcoSmarty Children Development School, Young Cynologist Club, Master City creative studio, Ski and Biathlon Club, Tourist Multidiscipline Competition Group, and many more.
