More than 1,000 birds of different species were released in the nature on April 8, on the Easter Sunday, a holiday that for Christians symbolizes “transition from death to life, from the Earth to the Heaven”.
On the eve of Resurrection Sunday, the members of the Feldman Ecopark Children’s Ecology and Nature Study Academy and the visitors painted big Easter eggs made of balloons and a papier-mache in the territory of the Social and Humanitarian Multi-complex. Besides, the organizers showed workpiece production technique in the home.
On Sunday, the traditional spring campaign, the release of wild birds took place in Feldman Ecopark. “The release of wild birds caught by poachers became a good annual tradition. Thanks to Oleksandr Feldman, this year we managed to redeem more than 1,200 representatives of different bird species, namely siskins, redpolls, forest canaries and others” — the head of the bird sector in Feldman Ecopark Volodymyr Perekhodovych tells. According to Mr. Perekhodovych, regular campaigns during which we release such animals as, for example, tortoises or squirrels in the nature take place in Feldman Ecopark. Next week, the release of bats will take place in the Feldman Ecopark.
The activities that are directly devoted to the orthodox Easter have also taken place on Sunday, April 8. This day many visitors received Easter cakes as a gift from the Feldman Ecopark, which they were able to bless on the Central Path during the Easter divine service.
The entertainment programme including performances, a lottery, logical games as well as “Coin for Luck” mintage, a master class in clay penny whistles and many other surprises have been prepared for the holiday. In the photo zone decorated as an Easter opening day, the visitors of the Feldman Ecopark were able to take memorable photos. The Theatre of Children and Animals prepared the thematic performance “Easter Patterns”.
Easter holidays in the Social and Humanitarian Multi-complex finished on Monday, April 9. Even this day the visitors were able to receive an Easter cake as a gift, to take part in the cheerful and fascinating game programme for children and adults, and to participate in a special master class devoted to tulip making by means of the art of paper folding and to strike their own “Coin for Luck”.
