The commemoration of those who died during the years of Holodomor took place in the Feldman Ecopark.
The Holodomor victims were remembered with a minute of silence. The memorial place was created on the territory of the Regional landscape park for everyone who wished to light the commemoration icon lamps joining the all-Ukrainian action “Light a candle.” Within the commemorative actions, the visitors were able to attend photo exhibition devoted to the terrible events of the beginning of the previous century.
“The disaster, that seemingly could not happen in the 20th century, was terrible. There are neither explanations, nor excuses to it! According to different estimations, as the result of three famine-genocides, from 5 to 13 million Ukrainians including children died guiltlessly. This tragedy, that we should never forget, is a tragedy to remember, to tell our children about, and to tell all the future generations about, for not to allow a recurrence of similar mistakes of humanity,” told Ukrainian MP and the founder of the Ecopark Oleksandr Feldman.
