Today, on March 31, the Ukrainian MP Oleksandr Feldman, voted at the Ukrainian presidential elections in the polling station of one of Kharkiv educational institutions.
After voting, he shared the expectations from elections. “Ukraine has entered the two-year elective marathon: presidential elections are now under way, soon parliamentary and local ones will be held. I wish Ukraine got out of it stronger, more democratic and more civilized. I want the elections to go peacefully, without street opposition, without intimidation of people. I want us to show the entire world that we are civilized country. Elections are always important: all pre-election populism will remain in the past. Our live in next 5 years depends on choice we are about to make” — the politician emphasized.
He emphasized the importance of participation of each resident of Ukraine in in the ballot: “Everyone must come and vote, don’t stay at home, and then say that something’s wrong. Thank God, today’s elections are rather civilized and quiet. I hope, people will be able to come to the second round without any pressure and intimidations and to give preference to that candidate whom they deem more worthy. Ukrainians are not the same people they used to be in the 90s and 2000s. New open-minded generation without Post-Soviet baggage has grown up. Lying to them won’t be so easy, they become more aware, are able to assess and make the conscious choice.”
