It is high time to stop political speculations on the elections and start the work the regional and city councils – such was the statement published by a People’s Deputy of Ukraine and co-chairman of Nash Krai political party Oleksandr Feldman when commenting on assertions by some politicians on results of the vote count in the region.
‘Being a front-line area, Kharkiv and its region are already in a state o economic crisis, and we must do our best to prevent any confrontations and, consequently, a political crisis which some extremists might like to take advantage of,’ remarked Oleksandr Feldman.
The People’s Deputy claims that Kharkiv Region needs local councils that do their work. ‘People are expecting high quality work from the deputies they have voted for. It does not matter whether someone agrees to acknowledge the election results or not, but our task is to work with all our efforts to justify the confidence of the voters and make people’s lives better and more comfortable,’ says Oleksandr Feldman.
The politician noted that representatives of Nash Krai will promote transition to transparent and responsible locale self-government in every way. According to the people’s deputy, the party members will pay particular attention to protection of the social safety net and to reduction of housing bills. ‘Fair and carefully adjusted tariffs is the first thing to do for our deputies in local councils,’ says Oleksandr Feldman. ‘People driven to despair in Kyiv have already assembled for an anti-tariff protest, and we should not let the same happen in Kharkiv’.
The co-chairman of the political party remarked that local council deputies from Nash Krai would begin meeting people to help with their needs from 16 November.
