Water Blessing, Treats and Surprises: Feldman Ecopark Invites to Celebrate Baptism of Jesus

Traditional ceremony of water blessing, dipping in ice-hole on the Three Lakes, tasty hot porridge and tea, horse riding, 65-metre tubing hill, as well as an interesting programme will be waiting for the visitors to Feldman Ecopark on the holiday of Baptism of Jesus. As usual, all entertainments are free of charge!

A traditional solemn service and water blessing ceremony will be carried out on Saturday, January 19, at the central location of the Social and Humanitarian Multi-Complex by the priest from the village of Solonitsevka (starting at 1 p.m.) After that, everyone will be able to dip into an ice-hole on the Three Lakes. “Are you afraid of becoming frozen? Never mind! Here, it will be possible to get warm with a cup of tea, porridge and other hot treats, as well as dances and participation in competitions,” the organizers of the festivities tell.

Starting from 10 a.m., the location with developing didactic games for pre-school children Play&Learn (busy board, lacing games, labyrinth, etc.) is open, while the Theatre of Children and Animals will give training lessons starting at 10.30 a.m. At the same time, children and adults will be able to attend Festive Fortune-Telling with Gypsy Rada and Petia the Rooster at the main location, while the game programme for children will start here at noon. Dances and entertainments for children and adults “It is impossible to spoil porridge with dance!” will start at 1.50 p.m.

The main event of Sunday, January 20, will be an entertainment programme “Christmas Amusement” (starting at 11 a.m.) It will include Festive Fortune-Telling with Gypsy Rada and Petia the Rooster, a game “Guess a Melody” with bayan-player uncle Vova and beauty Yana, blitz-master-class in creation of tasty present from Wintry-Winter, games “5 Letters” with tasty prizes and “Who am I?” (tintamarresque). While the teams “ABC of Nature” and “Growing up in Ecopark” of the Theatre of Children and Animals will present a cheerful premiere on this day – a fairy-tale “Magic Walking Stick of Santa Claus.”
