Good Home found new families for record number of animals

In September, the Centre for Wild, Exotic and Domestic Animals Rescue “Feldman Ecopark Good Home” helped to find new caring owners to a record number of stray cats and dogs: 308 animals (247 cats and 34 dogs) found home in new families.

“It is a wonderful result! Despite the fact that significant number of settled animals are kids, each of them has own difficult story and complicated relations with people. Many of them faced betrayal and the horrors of street life. We are sincerely grateful to people who open their hearts to our animals,” Good Home’s head Iryna Podvoiska emphasized. “We hope that more and more people will join our campaigns, and we will be able to find home for more animals that need home, warmth and love.”

Among the animals that found new home are cats and dogs rescued by volunteers and settled in Good Home temporarily. Moreover, significant number of animals found new owners thanks to the campaigns “Saving a Life You Find a Friend,” which take place in Feldman Ecopark, as well as near the metro station “Tsentralnyi Rynok,” every weekend. For several years, these campaigns demonstrated their effectiveness, and they will continue till frosts. In winter, volunteers will continue to search families for stray ‘tails’ with the help of social networks. It is also planned to renew photo shoots for animals.

It should be reminded that Feldman Ecopark Good Home was established in 2010. In 2013, it became an all-Ukrainian service that provides assistance not only to pets, but also to wild and exotic animals. In October 2017, Good Home launched an all-Ukrainian information hotline to help animals by calling 0-800-302-303.
