40,000 chrysanthemums of 25 species are already ready for the festival.
The main event of autumn – the long-awaited Chrysanthemum Ball in Feldman Ecopark – starts officially this weekend. As the organizers promised, this year, even more flowers and many new floristic compositions are waiting for the visitors.
“Nearly 40,000 chrysanthemums of 25 species and various colours have already been planted in the territory of Ecopark. Right now, the works on the creation of flower sculptures are being finished. We’ll tell a little secret: new themes connected with well-known folk tales and favourite forest characters will appear to make children and adults happy. Just come here and you’ll see everything yourself!” the main landscape architect of Feldman Ecopark Mykola Dvoretskyi decided to keep everyone intrigued.
The exposition of “gold flowers” (the translation of the name “chrysanthemums” from Greek) will last till frosts, that is why everyone will be able to admire it. But the grand opening of the Ball will take place on October 6-7. The organizers emphasize this and draw everyone’s attention to the fact that it is necessary to use only information from official sources. The focus attention on this because of the increasing number of fakes spread on social networks. The organizers also remind that the entrance to the territory of the Social and Humanitarian Multi-Complex and the participation in all events during these days is, as usual, absolutely free of charge. It is possible to find out how to get to Feldman Ecopark by the free company’s bus from different regions of Kharkiv on the official website.
It should be noted that the programme of the Chrysanthemum Ball opening on October 6-7 will be traditionally intended for all family members: there will be entertainments for children and for adults. It will cover all locations and activities of the Social and Humanitarian Multi-Complex.
Both on Saturday and Sunday, it will start at 10 a.m. with a festive flash mob from Feldman Ecopark’s art group. During the day, different locations will have mini-concerts of live music “In Harmony with Nature.” Starting at 11 a.m., music and dance collectives will perform at the main location on Saturday, and the classic music performed by symphony orchestra will sound here on Sunday. It will also be the place for interactive activities, games and quizzes with prizes for children, while traditional master classes in clay modeling, bracelet plaiting and toy crown creation will diversify the leisure at the Enjoyable Path. On Saturday and Sunday (at 11 a.m.) the Theatre of Children and Animals will present a performance “Chrysanthemums. Inspiration Flowers,” while the Horse Complex will make a horse parade on Sunday (1 p.m.), which ends warm season in Feldman Ecopark.
It should be reminded that the Chrysanthemum Ball in Feldman Ecopark is a traditional present of the International Charitable Foundation “Oleksandr Feldman Foundation” to the fellow-citizens, and especially to all educators on the Teachers’ Day.
